Descriptions (free to quote)

Short: HexBench is a Variable Gameplay 3D VTT and a game-building sandbox: a real-time, free-form virtual tabletop you run on your own hardware, with the workshop for building worlds, rules, and systems inside it. Players join through a free closed-source native client; a perpetual license runs the self-hosted server.

Long: HexBench is a Variable Gameplay 3D VTT for tabletop RPGs. Real-time and free-form, not locked to a grid and a turn timer. Built by a solo developer who wanted more than the existing tools could do at speed. It's a table and a workshop in one: maps, dynamic lighting, fog of war, and real-time and turn-based play on one side; a 3D scene editor, procedural map generation, sandboxed scripting for rules and triggers, and an MIT-licensed plugin SDK on the other, so the community can build and sell whatever it wants. One closed-source native client, written in Rust, gives players, builders, and GMs the same creative surface according to server-granted permissions. A perpetual license runs one active server from your own machine or VPS; players connect free.
